42 to Doomsday podcast goes live!

Episode 0 – After a lot of work setting everything up, our podcast, 42 to Doomsday, goes live today.  Who said Sunday was a day of rest?  Well, apart from the God fellow, anyway. Our first release, innovatively titled podcast zero, is our introduction to you, our loveable listener(s).

It’s important to us to make a connection with our audience and this podcast is our effort to achieve that.In future podcasts, we’ll talk all things missing episodes, rake over JNTs life pre and post reading of his controversial, acclaimed biography, and delve deep into Peter Capaldi and what that means for the series after the 50th anniversary.

So, slip on your comfiest headphones, kick the dog into touch, and settle back and listen as we soothe your ears with chat about all things Doctor Who…

  1. Your “like a cheeseburger” approach to New Who sounds refreshing, guys, but I wonder if you’ve thought this through properly.

If you can’t discuss the colour of the 10th Doctor’s skinny suit, the length of the 11th Doctor’s hair or the cut of Clara’s skirt, how are you going to fill up a regular podcast?

If I subscribe to your podcast on iTunes, that means I have to give up another podcast and then where will I hear in-depth analysis of the latest BBC press releases on how feisty the new companion is or how she can deliver her lines just as fast as Matt Smith?

Oh well, best of luck for the future of the podcast. Should be an interesting change from the US, Canadian and normal (i.e. British) accents which dominate DW podcasting.

You certainly seem to have off to a flying, Emperor’s New Clothes start with your views on 1980s DW. We all secretly know that people who lionise that era are covering up their jealousy that they were too young to have lived through The Golden Age. 😉
